Lake Superior Serving Tray 20" X 13"
Thanks to its incredible hiking trails, dozens of fish species, and relaxing beaches, Lake Superior is leaps and bounds above other vacation destinations. The area is home to multiple historic shipwrecks, lighthouses, and waterfalls that make it a perfect addition to your travel bucket list.
Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes, covers nearly 32,000 square miles and is home to the famous Edmund Fitzgerald shipwreck. Isle Royale National Park, an archipelago containing more than 200 islands, also calls the lake home, providing over 165 miles of hiking trails to its visitors.
Our wood lake serving tray of Lake Superior begins with a bathymetric chart documenting the exact depths of the lake and its surrounding landscape. An artist uses the measurements from the chart to etch topographical details into a piece of Baltic birch and then hand-stains the wood to accent the engravings. Points of interest and other landmarks are etched into another piece of birch, which is layered on top and finished with a custom frame and acrylic layer to create this wood lake serving tray.
Show off your love of Lake Superior with this functional piece of lake art.
