If you’ve been to Block Island, it’s impossible to forget the feeling it gives you. With its beautiful blue waters, sandy beaches, rock faced cliffs, and quaint historic lighthouses, the town is a mixture of romance and adventure.

Located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Block Island Sound off the coast of Rhode Island, Block Island is one of the Nature Conservancy’s Last Great Places, and for a good reason. Named Manisses, or “Island of the Little God,” by the Narragansett Indians who called the island home, the land is a piece of heaven that balances between the real world and Mother Earth. With half of the island a dedicated wildlife preserve and the other half inhabited by just over one thousand full-time residents, it’s impossible not to fall in love with Block Island.

Our Block Island Serving Tray pays tribute to the incredible landscape of the island. A piece of Baltic birch is laser-cut to the exact shoreline of the island, while an artist uses a bathymetric map to etch the underwater landscape into the bottom of the wood map serving tray. The space that represents water is hand-stained a beautiful blue-green color while the island itself remains natural wood. Although the island is only slightly raised above the tray's surface, the etched topography, points of interest, and landmarks allow the lake art to stand out. An ultra-transparent acrylic glass top finishes off the lake art piece and provides protection and durability.

Use this lake art serving tray to show off your love of Block Island to everyone who visits.
